Connect GitFit with Strava and GitHub
Use this page when a provider connection does not finish, a sync looks stale, or you need help understanding what to try next.
Strava
Strava adds your verified fitness activity layer to GitFit.
How to connect
- 1Sign in to GitFit with GitHub and open your GitFit profile.
- 2Select the orange Connect with Strava button in the setup or owner controls panel.
- 3Approve the Strava permissions shown on Strava, then return to GitFit.
- 4Use Sync Strava from your owner controls when you want to refresh recent activity.
If there is a problem
- If the authorization page loops or returns an error, try signing out of Strava and GitFit, then connect again.
- If you previously revoked GitFit in Strava, reconnect from your GitFit owner controls.
- If activities are missing, confirm they are visible to apps under your Strava privacy settings and run Sync Strava again.
- If Strava is rate limited or temporarily unavailable, wait a few minutes before retrying.
GitHub
GitHub is used for sign-in and verified contribution counts.
How to connect
- 1Choose Sign In on GitFit and continue with GitHub.
- 2Approve the GitHub authorization screen for the requested profile and email access.
- 3After GitFit creates your profile, your GitHub connection is available in owner controls.
- 4Use Sync GitHub from your owner controls when you want to refresh contribution data.
If there is a problem
- Make sure you are signing in with the same GitHub account that owns the contributions you expect to see.
- If contributions are missing, check that they appear on GitHub first, then run Sync GitHub.
- If private work is expected, verify your GitHub contribution settings allow private contribution counts on your profile.
- If access was revoked or expired, sign out of GitFit and sign in with GitHub again.
